These experts often have access to more advanced techniques and information that can help authenticate or debunk the material.
AI detection tools are becoming more sophisticated and can be a helpful starting point, but they are not infallible. Google's Gemini app, for example, includes a digital watermarking tool called SynthID that can detect AI-generated or altered images. Other AI creation tools have also started adding visible watermarks to their content, making it easier to identify manipulated media.
